The Government Printing Office proposed in its fiscal 2013 budget request to cut its congressional printing and binding budget by 8 percent, or $7.1 million, in order to fund information technology investments.
“We are proposing to shift our funds away from the conventional printing and distribution activities toward an increased investment in technological improvements,” Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks told the Senate Appropriations legislative subcommittee March 15.
